Welcome to the web home of Christian Home Educators of the Visalia Area - C.H.E.V.A. We are a support group for Christian families who have felt the Lord calling them to home educate in the Tulare County, California vicinity. We offer encouragement and support for the homeschool mom, as well as, field trips, workshops, and fun activities to help round out your student’s education.

 

This is CHEVA’s fourth year in existence and we are still growing! Our first years creating CHEVA have been wonderful and we are so excited to start another school year. We have a lot of events scheduled for this coming school year and our prayer is that we are a blessing and an encouragement to your homeschool. You can find a list of activities we have planned for this year on the side bar under CHEVA Activities 2011-2012.

 

Every month during the school year we will plan a field trip, a park day, a fun activity (such as bowling, roller skating, or one of the other activities listed). We have holiday parties, history and art workshops, an open house tour for New homeschoolers, Teens in Action activities, and more planned for this school year.

 

As a CHEVA member you will have access to the CHEVA calendar, you can then join us on an outing when it fits in your schedule. Members also enjoy a full online member forum for activities, education, fellowship and information among private Christian home educators in Tulare County.

 

If you choose to join CHEVA we encourage participation because we want to get to know you. We also want you to know you have support in your homeschool journey. Feel free to check out our website often. We are adding things all the time. If you are a Christian homeschooling family in the Visalia area, I hope you will consider CHEVA as your local support group. We would love to add you to our CHEVA Family.
